Massachusetts Advocacy Team Workshop

October 10 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET

Join us for an Advocacy Workshop with the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL)! This in-person workshop is designed for anyone interested in becoming a more effective advocate for peace and justice in Congress.

You’ll learn about FCNL’s style of advocacy that is informed by Quaker beliefs and values, emphasizing relationship building, deep listening, and finding common ground through the practice of storytelling. Participants will explore best practices for building lasting connections with members of Congress to move the needle on important issues in the direction of peace and justice.

At the end of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to join new Advocacy Team. By joining, you become part of a powerful nationwide network of 135 teams across all 50 states working for peace and justice. Advocacy Teams meet monthly to plan actions such as lobby visits, publishing in the media, and organizing community events. Team members also receive regular support from FCNL staff.
