As Barack Obama prepares to take office, what should his priorities be?

FCNL offers some suggestions in our communications with the Obama transition team, including opportunities for bipartisan change in 2009 and a reshaping of foreign policy to prevent deadly conflict.

2008 Successes

Even in an election year marked by increasing partisanship on Capitol Hill, FCNL had several significant successes:

• Iran blockade legislation fizzles.
• Congress bans cluster bomb exports.
• Congress says no to nuclear weapons.
• Congress renews energy tax credits.
