Congress Approves More War Money
Congress has approved $162 billion more for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The president signed the supplemental war funding bill on June 30. The bill also prohibits permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq.
By the summer of 2009, this country will have invested $862 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
