I’ve written a letter to my senators asking them to ban cluster bombs. Even though I’m not an expert, I understand that cluster bombs scatter over wide swaths of land, posing dangers to ordinary people long after a conflict has ended. The U.S. has used these weapons in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yugoslavia in recent years.
